The manufacturer warranty
Trex backs its capped composite with a long-term limited residential warranty against material defects, fading, and staining. That coverage is on the product itself — it protects you against the board failing to perform the way Trex says it will.
What people miss is that the warranty assumes the product was installed to specification, with compatible components. Mismatched railing, the wrong fasteners, or an unapproved detail can compromise the very coverage you are paying for.
The Platinum labor warranty
As a Trex Platinum Pro Builder, our installations carry an enhanced labor warranty on top of the manufacturer material coverage. That is the piece that protects the workmanship — the part most homeowners never think to ask about until something moves.
Together, the material warranty and the Platinum labor warranty mean both the board and the build behind it are covered. That standing is held by a small fraction of contractors nationally.
Why we specify decking and railing together
We always specify Trex Signature decking and Trex Signature railing as one package. Doing so keeps the components compatible and lets the warranty activate as a single coordinated system rather than a patchwork that a claim could pick apart. Engineering and permits are included in the scope, so the structure underneath is documented and inspected too.
The result is coverage that is airtight because the deck was designed to be covered from the first drawing.
