A surface that works barefoot
Capped Trex composite resists fading, staining, and mold, and it will not splinter — which matters most exactly where people walk barefoot and wet. Lighter Trex tones stay more comfortable underfoot in direct Hudson Valley summer sun, and we factor color into the design for that reason.
Slip resistance, board direction for drainage, and a picture-frame border that frames the water are all handled at the design stage, not improvised on site.
Drainage and the space below
Around pools and spas, water management is everything. On elevated decks we install Trex RainEscape, a sealed drainage layer that channels water away above the joists, protecting the framing and turning the area beneath the deck into a dry, finished outdoor room.
That dry under-deck space can become a covered lounge or storage — a second room created by getting the drainage right rather than an afterthought.
Lighting, privacy, and the structure underneath
Haven LED is engineered into pool decks for safety and atmosphere — riser and edge lighting that makes the space usable and beautiful at night. Railing from the Signature collection, including cable and glass options, preserves the view of the water while meeting code.
Underneath all of it is the same standard as every Pinnacle build: an engineered helical pile foundation, taped and capped framing, with engineering and permits included — never a line item.
